Lol. My pantrys full of like 10 boxes of cereal. Mlik on the other hand is scarce at the moment. Guess I better go farm for some pocket change then go run to droknars to get a few gallons. Gotta be careful though. I hear that some milks have the same effects as dwarven ale haha.

Aren't you the IT guy? I thought it was part of your job description to "test" all new online applications to see if they are a threat to your network or if you can block their use from the peons.... My husband and I have been "testing" the new Google Talk all day.

Yeah, I've been testing the new Google Talk application all day and let me tell you, it's a productivity killer. Problem is, the silly thing works over port 443 using SSL near as I can tell. Luckily it reports to the proxy that it's "Google Talk" protocol and not just HTTP traffic. Otherwise, there'd be no stopping it.
The voice chat stuff is pretty good. I haven't verified yet that it also runs over 443 but if it does, then good bye to opening tons of ports to do Netmeeting calls and such. Anyway, also got the new Google Desktop Search 2 and am enjoying the customized news articles. Once I get rid of all the leftist propaganda news sites (like CNN) then I'll be sittin' pretty.  But seriously, the auto-detect of RSS feeds on sites you're on is pretty amazing. All I had to do was go to /. and it immediately picked up the feeds. O.k., now I guess I need to get back to "testing" all this new technology. Did I mention we also got our Windows Vista beta in today? |
